The Hur'q are an insectoid species which serve among the Nihydron Star Republic in their military.
In 2256, the Hur'q were discovered by the Nihydron following their near-extinction event at the hands of an unknown species. Soon, the Hur'q became well known soldiers in the Nihydron military.
In the 26th century, it was discovered that the Hur'q are the descendants of Briori colonists who fell victim to a bioweapon developed by one of their subject races. The disease mutated the colonists into the Hur'q.
